PROBLEM
Due
to poor workmanship and construction defects, Jefferson
Summit experienced major water intrusion that resulted
in extensive structural damage.
SOLUTION
Working
in conjunction with architects and waterproofing consultants,
Leffler & Heaney helped develop a customized solution
to mediate existing water damage and reconstruct Jefferson
Summit to prevent future water intrusion. The reconstruction
included the removal and replacement of the following:

Complete exterior wall system
- Structural
framing members
- Deteriorated
fascia and soffit
- Exterior
windows and sliding glass doors
- Fiberglass
shingle roofing system
- Balcony
lightweight concrete and waterproofing
In
addition to the reconstruction, the property received
an enhanced look with the installation of synthetic stone,
foam bands and shutters.

RESULTS
At
one time, Jefferson Summit was in danger of being razed based
on the misconception that damages were beyond repair. Today,
the apartment community boasts 100 percent occupancy.
